WFOnline stats up sharply after re-launch
Westwick-Farrow in Australia is reporting sharp growth after the re-launch of the WFonline website network in April. Across the 10 sites, they have achieved an average growth over the last 6 months of 20% for unique users, 19% for total visits, and 24% for page views. Also, with the recent launch of a membership system, lead generation programs (Tech Paper Promotion) are now available.

News Ltd. Australia launches The Deal
As of October 17, The Australian has launched The Deal, a new monthly business magazine. The Deal targets 532,000 readers of Friday’s The Australian, and promises to cut through the hype and offer a fresh and individual look at the business world.

Gruner + Jahr and Group Editora Escala Ltda launch GEO Brazil
GEO is continuing its international expansion strategy and will make its debut in Brazil no later than March 2009. “We are very pleased about our first edition in Latin America. The Brazilian market still is a very good market for new magazines and we have found a strong partner in Editora Escala“, says André Moellersmann, Director GEO International. Editora Escala, headquartered in San Paulo, also publishes Brazilian editions of Car & Driver (Hachette Filipacchi Media) and Maxim (Alpha Media Group) as international licensees for the Brazilian market.

GEO is Gruner + Jahr’s most international magazine brand, and with the launch of GEO Brazil, the magazine will now be published with local editions in 21 countries worldwide.

WEKA Media Publishing Reorganizes
After recent launches and acquisitions, WEKA Media Publishing, a division of WEKA, is now publishing eighteen magazines and organized into four groups (Computer, Telecoms/Mobile, Entertainment, and Photography) all centered around the portal www.magnus.de.
